Tao Po: The Beginning is the End is the Beginning

Having filmed the final episode last month, it felt like another heartbreak. We have to deal with yet another ending. Sifting through old photos from the past seasons, I just thought to myself- This. We did all this.

Before all of this, I was a studio photographer, then a sculptor's apprentice, then a scuba diver's assistant, then a teacher. I've always had this strange desire to live as many different lives as I could.

Then came a time when I had to recover from some sort of ending... (cue April Boy Regino's song,"Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin") when this show, LISTED, invited me to be their prod manager and eventually one of their directors. I had no idea how to be one, but they took the chance. And I took a huge leap. It felt like something exciting was starting to happen.

Working on this show allowed us to get a taste of how it's like to live someone else's life- a furniture designer, chef, farmer, entrepreneur, sommelier, boatman, artist... It felt like some sort of magical dream job, but there was also an exceptional amount of pressure to tell good stories- stories that give justice to the beauty of the places and people we get to visit and meet.

It's a pleasure being part of this family, and very much like family, they'll always be a part of me. But somehow the cosmos finds ways of tearing things down so it could piece us back into a whole new permutation; maybe one that we've never even imagined. LISTED has come to an end, but the show must go on.

And that's what we're honestly eager to find out. Who (and where) will we be next? :)
